Dr. Ahmed Marzouk first consulted at 3 a.m.
I want to share my experience with Dr. Ahmed Marzouk. He made the right decision about performing an appendectomy during my pregnancy to preserve the pregnancy and not expose the fetus to any harm. Here are the details of my experience.
After my marriage, I experienced a miscarriage as I was following up with an inexperienced doctor. Then I got pregnant again and kept following up with him until a new tragedy began during my second pregnancy.
Terrible pains in the fourth month and my fear about the fetus:
Suddenly and without warning, during one day of my fourth month of pregnancy, I experienced very severe indescribable pain. Of course, I went to the doctor I was following up with during that time, but I could not communicate with him due to his traveling. So I went to his hospital to consult the assistant doctor, who examined me and told me that this pain could be due to appendicitis.
I was in a lot of pain and was in the hospital for 12 hours. I was given injections and painkillers to try to relieve the pain. The assistant doctor told me that an ultrasound was required to confirm the diagnosis, and I did. Then he prescribed me antibiotics and fluids for two or three days and told me to monitor my improvement, but the pain continued for three days, and I was trying hard to sleep in a sitting position because the pain of appendicitis worsens with the body stretching in the sleeping position.
The first contact with Dr. Ahmed Marzouk was at 3 in the morning!
All my concern was for my fetus, I was terrified of losing him as it had happened before. One of my friends gave me the private phone number of Dr. Ahmed Marzouk, and I did not hesitate for a moment to contact him, and the time was 3 a.m.!
I didn't imagine he would contact me, but he listened to me even though I was not one of his patients. I told him I was worried about my pregnancy, and he told me to come in the morning. Once I arrived, I was examined and reassured about the fetus. He recommended an immediate appendectomy because waiting might put the fetus at greater risk than the risks of the surgery itself. He recommended a skilled gastroenterologist for me. I performed the surgery immediately. The surgical technique was traditional surgery, not laparoscopic surgery, given the circumstances of pregnancy. I was surprised that Dr. Ahmed Marzouk sent his assistant doctor inside the operating room to follow up on my condition, and the biggest surprise was that he came in person to check on me after I got out of the surgery.
My pregnancy health problems did not end, as I became infected with the coronavirus 20 days after the appendectomy surgery. This experience passed safely, thanks to the instructions of Dr. Ahmed Marzouk, his follow-up, and the prescribed allowed medications for pregnancy.
Walking one hour after a painless caesarean section:
Of course, throughout my pregnancy, I was following up with Dr. Ahmed Marzouk, and I wished for a natural birth, thinking that the pain of a Cesarean- Section was unbearable. But the position of the fetus left no choice, and Dr. Ahmed Marzouk assured me that I would not feel pain because he followed the painless Cesarean delivery technique by applying a "Tab Block.”; at that time.
Inside the operating room, I did not feel the spinal at all, and I remember the first moment I saw my son, Amir, and how I kissed him. It was the first time I felt it, and I cried joyfully.
About an hour after giving birth, I did not feel so tired that I was walking around the room without help, which was the result of a painless Cesarean delivery. All what Dr. Ahmed Marzouk promised me happened. The postpartum fatigue of the painless C-section was very tolerable and negligible compared to an appendectomy. Thanks for the sweetest memory!
