Dr. Ahmed Marzouk finally diagnosed my rare disease!

My story began three and a half years after God gave me my daughters. Since then, I've been suffering from abnormally heavy and excessive bleeding to the point where I'd go to the emergency room covered in sheets to be checked by an obgyn. My condition was always diagnosed as just anemia after regular abdominal ultrasounds, and prescribing injections to stop the bleeding and vitamins. I was leaving the hospital not convinced that this would solve my case but with no other choice than trying to control the bleeding with the prescribed injections. 

I started my journey looking for an experienced doctor to diagnose me. I was looking for a permanent solution not a temporary one.

I consulted several doctors, but every time I visited one of them, I was surprised by a different diagnosis. 

All the doctors relied on a normal abdominal ultrasound, and some of them attributed the problem to the presence of weak capillaries and accordingly, prescribed blood circulation boosters. Other doctors thought the problem was caused by anemia, while others thought the bleeding was caused by overexertion.

All these made non sense to me because the problem was persisting. 

During one of those visits, I consulted an obgyn and asked her to perform a vaginal ultrasound. I had faith in the importance of this procedure, even though none of the previous doctors or she personally had any interest in doing. I performed vaginal sonar and asked her to tell me the truth, whatever it was, and that I was accepting God's will!

The doctor told me there was a fibroid! I thanked God and was happy because I finally reached a diagnosis that might end the dilemma. She told me I would have several injections once a month, followed by a hysterectomy. I accepted God's will and thanked Him for His gifts to me.

But one of my close friends, who was aware of what I’ve been through, asked me and insisted that I consult Dr. Ahmed Marzouk. I told her that I was tired of visiting doctors, but she insisted and even booked me an appointment, just as a confirmation of what I already knew.

As soon as I entered the examination room, I found myself in front of Dr. Ahmed Marzouk, a very relaxed and cheerful doctor who is a good listener to even the smallest details without becoming bored. I kept telling him about my medical condition, the events of the last two years, and my entire medical history. The moment of detection came, and I was surprised when he told me that there were no fibroids in my uterus. I was supposed to be happy, but my fear of going back into the non-diagnostic cycle that lasted for two years shocked me. Of course, I trusted this skilled doctor, who explained on the screen that there was something strange in the uterus and that a 4D vaginal ultrasound was required, so he asked me to send the results, which revealed that I had a rare disease known as adenomyosis.

I finally started the right treatment plan under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Marzouk, who prescribed me a 3-month medication protocol, and it was the first time, since I started this journey, to not suffer from bleeding.

 

But I made a mistake when I did not follow the medication, and the bleeding started again for 56 days, until the hemoglobin reached 7 with unbearable fatigue.

I despaired and decided to have my uterus removed. I informed Dr. Ahmed Marzouk about it, but he refused totally due to my young age. Dr. Ahmed Marzouk performed a curettage after he assured me that it would improve my condition, and after that, I completed my medication treatment plan under his supervision. Now, I am enjoying about 5 months without a single bleeding  or a hysterectomy.
